To support the operation of China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines' C909 at Macau International Airport (MFM), Menzies Aviation Macau sent a professional team to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport for a three-day training on C909 ground service support. 

Led by Ng Chong U - Senior Ramp Operations Manager, the team included Lei Song Chi - Cabin Operations Manager, Vong Veng Leong - Deputy Passenger Operations Manager, Yip Sio Long (Andrew) - LCC Superintendent, Ho Chan Weng - Training Officer Airside Operations, and Chen Zhihong - Ramp Services Lead Agent. The goal was to pre-familiarize with the C909's ground service procedures, master relevant technical and operational standards, and fully prepare for its smooth operation at MFM.

On day one, the team visited the Ground Services Department of China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, inspecting the load control and baggage handling centers on-site. Early the next day, they moved to Shanghai Pudong International Airport for practical ramp training, participating in C909 transit support. They practiced key procedures hands-on—including aircraft loading/unloading, water and waste services, cabin cleaning, and aircraft towing—ensuring mastery of operations to build experience for the C909's successful inaugural flight to Macau.

The Menzies Aviation Macau team will apply the insights gained in Shanghai to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant ground support for the C909 at Macau International Airport.
